The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, confirmed today (Thursday) the Egyptian army’s ability to defend the borders, during his inspection of the security measures on Egypt’s border with the Gaza Strip, accompanied by a number of military leaders.
The Egyptian Chief of Staff explained, in a statement, that the main mission of the armed forces is to preserve the state’s borders on all strategic directions, stressing that army men are capable of defending the nation’s borders, generation after generation.
The Egyptian military spokesman stated, in the statement, that the Chief of Staff stressed the importance of displaying knowledge, will, and maintaining high physical fitness to ensure the implementation of all missions with high professionalism. He also reassured the soldiers’ living and administrative conditions.
The Egyptian visit came after the Israeli Prime Minister insisted that his forces remain in the Philadelphia axis between Egypt and Palestine, which was met with great Egyptian and Arab condemnation and rejection.
