Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said on Friday that NATO would start a direct war with Russia if it gave Kiev a green light to use long-range weapons deep inside our country.
Nebenzia said during a meeting of the UN Security Council: “Such a possible development of the situation will radically change our relations with the Western camp. If the decision to lift restrictions has already been taken or will be taken, this means that from that moment on, NATO countries will start a direct war with Russia".
He continued: “In this case, we will, of course, have to take appropriate decisions with all the consequences that will entail for the Western aggressors, and our Western colleagues will no longer be able to evade responsibility and place all the blame on Kiev.”
Earlier, Deputy Spokesman for the US State Department, Vedant Patel, said on Thursday that the United States is not yet ready to announce the lifting of restrictions imposed on Ukrainian military strikes with long-range American weapons deep into Russian territory, and does not want to speculate about that.
p>Russian President Vladimi Putin commented yesterday, Thursday, on the decision to allow Kiev to use Western weapons to strike the Russian interior.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said, in a meeting with reporters, that NATO countries are not only now discussing the possibility of Kiev using long-range Western weapons; In fact, it is deciding whether to become directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict.
He also added, “In reality, the aerial missions of these missile systems can only be carried out by military personnel from NATO countries. Therefore, Ukraine alone is unable to strike the Russian depth and needs Western satellite information to do so.”
