The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that it counted, during the last hour, 50 civilian martyrs, as a result of the continuous and deliberate barbaric bombing of the Western-backed Israeli occupation on neighborhoods and civilian facilities in the besieged Strip.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced the “total collapse” of the health system in all hospitals in the Strip, while the World Health Organization and UNRWA called for the rapid delivery of fuel and medical supplies to Gaza.
The Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Rish, said that the health system in the Gaza Strip has reached the stage of complete collapse despite the hospitals opening their doors. He added that a large part of the medicines and medical supplies have run out, and the hospitals’ clinical capacity has been closed.
For her part, the Palestinian Minister of Health to the Ramallah Authority, Dr. Mai Alkaila, during a press conference organized by the Ministry this evening, Tuesday, about the collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip, which threatens the lives of every patient and wounded person in the hospitals of the Gaza Strip.
The Minister said that the number of hospitals that have completely stopped operating in the Gaza Strip is 12 out of 35 hospitals, as a result of the Zionist bombing and the running out of fuel, and the various hospitals are exposed to daily threats of evacuation by the occupation forces, in addition to the deliberate barbaric bombing of hospitals and their surroundings as well, where Thousands of citizens are safe.
The Minister of Health added that since Tuesday afternoon, hospitals have been unable to receive any sick or wounded person for treatment, as they suffer from full bed occupancy, large overcrowding in the number of patients in emergency departments, and a lack of places to admit more wounded and sick people for treatment, and the various departments have become full.
The Minister said, “The health personnel working in the hospitals of the Gaza Strip have become completely exhausted, and they cover 30-35% of the need necessary to treat the sick and wounded. This sharp decline in the number of personnel is due to many reasons. 65 of the personnel were martyred.”
In this context, the government media office in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation bombed the Gaza Strip with more than 12 thousand tons of explosives, and explained that 33 tons of explosives were dropped on every square kilometer on average in Gaza since the start of the aggression.
