The Zionist occupation forces - on Wednesday evening - assassinated the family of journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh, office director of the Al-Jazeera satellite channel in the Gaza Strip, martyring his wife, their son, and their daughter.
Medical sources confirmed that the wife of journalist Al-Dahdouh, along with their son Mahmoud and their daughter, a child not more than one year old, were martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted their house in Gaza.
Al Jazeera said: Its correspondent was in direct coverage of the violent Israeli bombing of Gaza City, and conveyed direct testimonies of the brutality of the occupation when he documented the bombing of his residential area, and it later became clear that the bombing targeted his family.
In his first comment on the crime, Al-Dahdouh said as he bid farewell to his son amidst his tears: They (the occupation) are taking revenge on our children, sorry, and he repeated the saying, “Praise be to God, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
Al-Dahdouh also embraced his daughter in a touching scene, amid widespread condemnation of the brutality of the Zionist occupation.
Al-Dahdouh said: These are tears of humanity, not tears of fear, collapse, and cowardice. Let the occupation army lose heart.”
Since the beginning of the aggression, Al-Dahdouh has provided continuous, strong and direct coverage of the crimes of the Zionist occupation in the Gaza Strip.
The occupation assassinated at least 22 journalists, and destroyed many of the journalists’ homes on their heads and the heads of their families as part of their attempts to hide the truth of atrocities and crimes greater than what the Nazis committed in the Gaza Strip.
