The missile fire fired by Iran at Israel reached Jordanian territory, resulting in two minor injuries, in addition to the death of a Palestinian by missile shrapnel in the West Bank.
The Jordanian Ministry of Interior announced, on Tuesday evening, that several fragments of objects had fallen in various governorates, including the capital, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba, and Karak, resulting in two minor injuries.
At the same time, a military source stated that Jordanian airspace had been reopened after it was closed to aircraft movement, as a result of the launching of hundreds of Iranian missiles towards Israel, in order to preserve the safety of air navigation, according to the Jordanian News Agency.
The Jordanian Public Security Directorate said in a statement on Tuesday that Royal Air Force aircraft and air defense systems intercepted many missiles and drones that entered Jordanian airspace.
The directorate called on citizens to “respond to warnings from the army as a result of Royal Air Force aircraft and air defense systems dealing with many missiles and drones that entered Jordanian airspace.”
The security services were directed not to approach the rest of the fallen objects, deal with them, or gather near them until the competent teams arrive, stressing the necessity of reporting them and the places where they fell to ensure their safety and avoid human and material losses.
In the same context, fragments of an Iranian missile that Iran fired at Israel on Tuesday evening led to the death of a Palestinian in the city of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, according to what a local official told Agence France-Presse.
Jericho Governor Hussein Hamayel told AFP, “A Palestinian worker was killed in Jericho when fragments of a missile fell from the sky and hit him.”
On Tuesday evening, Iran launched an unknown number of missiles at Israel at the time of writing this news, with explosions lighting up the skies of the cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and other cities, amid the sound of sirens warning of another batch.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced a short while ago that the missile attack on Israel comes in response to the killing of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah last week, and the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, last July.
