A new Hezbollah leader was struck by an Israeli strike that claimed his life.
Israel announced today, Sunday, the killing of a Hezbollah company commander in southern Lebanon by an air strike.
The Israeli army said in a statement, a copy of which was received by Al-Ain News, that “Air Force fighters killed Khader Ali Tawil, a company commander in the Hezbollah organization, in the Kafr Kila area.”
According to the Israeli army, Khader “was working with Muhammad Haider and Hassan Nazir al-Rashaini, who were liquidated at the beginning of last week.”
The statement added: “These were responsible for firing the anti-tank missile at Kfar Yuval on January 14, which led to the death of Assistant (Reserve) Barak Ayalon, who was one of the soldiers protecting the town in the 769th Regional Brigade, in addition to his mother, Mira.” Ayalon."
The Israeli statement accused Khader of responsibility for launching hundreds of rockets and anti-tank shells into the Galilee and Metulla in particular.
Earlier, the Israeli army said that “during hours last night, Air Force warplanes, under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Authority, launched a series of raids in the Beirut area targeting a number of Hezbollah weapons depots.”
The Israeli army also announced that “the Air Force successfully intercepted two surface-to-surface missiles launched from Lebanon” at northern Israel.
