Israel Hayom newspaper reported this evening that the Israeli army thwarted an infiltration of militants from Lebanon across the northern border, amid a state of high alert in the border areas.
For its part, Israeli Army Radio said that reports indicate the killing of 6 Hezbollah militants who attempted to infiltrate across the northern border in the Doviv area.
At the same time, Israeli interceptor missiles exploded in the airspace of the central sector of southern Lebanon, after dozens of missiles were launched from southern Lebanon towards Israeli sites in the Upper Galilee.
Israeli media reported that the missiles caused direct hits to buildings in Karmiel and other areas, with strong explosions being heard in several areas of the Upper Galilee and the Galilee Center in northern Israel.
This was accompanied by sirens sounding in Karmiel and other towns, warning residents to stay in shelters.
