Kuwait announced, on Wednesday, the downing of an F-18 fighter jet and the killing of the pilot in the north of the country.

According to the official spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Hamad Al-Saqr, “An F-18 fighter plane belonging to the Kuwaiti Air Force fell and its pilot was killed while performing a training flight mission in the north of the country this afternoon.”

He added, in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, that the investigation teams began their tasks to find out the details and causes of the accident.
