US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned Tehran on Saturday against responding to the Israeli strikes that targeted military sites in Iran, and stressed in a call with his Israeli counterpart the opportunities to defuse the escalation in the region.
Austin said in a statement, “Iran should not make the mistake of responding to Israeli strikes, which should mark the end of this exchange.”
