“A strike in the depths.” Israel responds to Naeem Qassem’s speech

Today, Wednesday, the Israeli army launched dozens of raids deep into Lebanon, specifically the city of Baalbek and its surrounding towns in the Bekaa, coinciding with the speech of the new Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem.
Prior to the raids, the Israeli army asked residents of several areas to evacuate. His spokesman, Avichai Adraee, said, “The activities of the terrorist Hezbollah force the IDF to act forcefully against it in these areas,” as he put it.
He added in a post on the (X) platform, “We do not intend to harm you. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately.”
