Al-Hurra’s correspondent in Sudan said that 11 civilians detained inside mosques in the city of Al-Hilalia in Al-Jazeera State, central Sudan, by the Rapid Support Forces, were killed, according to the “Nidaa Al-Wasat” news platform.
The source said that the dead died as a result of “the firing of bullets by the Rapid Support Forces, in addition to the deterioration of health conditions.”
On the other hand, the “Resistance Committees” in the city of “Al-Hasahisa” in Al-Jazeera State accused the Rapid Support Forces of “forcing” the residents of the village of “Sharafat Al-Halaween” to leave it, in addition to “looting all public property and residents’ belongings.”
A few days ago, Sudan witnessed a similar incident, after a committee of local activists announced that 31 people were killed in a Sudanese army air strike on a mosque in the city of Wad Madani in the center of the country.
The “Resistance Committee” in Wad Madani added, in a statement at the time, that the attack occurred “after the evening prayer” and targeted the “Sheikh Al-Jili” Mosque and its surroundings in the Al-Ittimad Al-Gharbi neighborhood, in the capital of Al-Jazira State, directly south of Khartoum.
