Last week, the official Syrian agency reported that explosions occurred on the night of Friday and Saturday in the vicinity of the city of Al-Safira in the Aleppo and Idlib countryside.
The agency said on its account on the “X” microblogging site, “Explosions were heard in the vicinity of the city of Al-Safira in the Aleppo countryside, and their nature is being verified.”
Later, the agency referred to “preliminary information about Israeli aggression,” according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse.
SANA quoted a military source as saying, “At approximately 00:45 after midnight, the Israeli enemy launched an air attack from the direction of southeastern Aleppo, targeting a number of sites in the Aleppo and Idlib countryside, which led to the injury of a number of soldiers and the occurrence of some material losses.” ".
In recent weeks, Israel launched air strikes inside Syria, and also targeted the border crossing linking it with Lebanon.
Israel rarely confirms the implementation of strikes, but repeatedly says that it will confront what it describes as Iran's attempts to establish its military presence in Syria.
