Trump: I will consider withdrawing from NATO unless Washington is treated fairly.

US President-elect, Donald Trump, announced in an interview broadcast on Sunday that he would “definitely” consider withdrawing from NATO if the allies did not “pay their bills.”
Trump told NBC's "Meet the Press" program: "They should pay their bills."
He added, according to Agence France-Presse, that he would “definitely” consider removing the United States from the alliance “unless the members treat us fairly.”
Trump raises the fears of his allies in NATO, after repeating his sharp criticism of the volume of American military support for Kiev, which has reached $60 billion since the Russian attack in February 2022. He also previously criticized the alliance during his first term, stressing The need for each country in the alliance to commit to its agreed-upon financial contribution.
