An Israeli channel said that Israel will continue to target military installations in Syria for fear that they will fall into the hands of the opposition.
Politically, several countries welcomed the fall of the Assad regime, including Britain and Canada, as did the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, and the European Commission. As for the United States, it called for Assad to be held accountable.
