480 Israeli strikes on Syria in 48 hours

The Israeli army announced, on Tuesday, that it launched about 480 strikes within 48 hours on strategic targets in Syria, days after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad.
The army said in a statement, “Within 48 hours, the IDF attacked the majority of strategic weapons stockpiles in Syria, fearing that they would fall into the hands of terrorist elements.”
He added that the targets “included sites where 15 Syrian Navy vessels were moored (...), surface-to-air missile batteries (...), Syrian Air Force airports, and dozens of production site targets” in different areas.
Earlier Tuesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that his country is continuing to "destroy strategic capabilities" in Syria.
Katz said, while he was at a naval base in the city of Haifa, that the goal of the successive attacks on many Syrian sites since the fall of Bashar al-Assad is “to prevent terrorist organizations from creating a reality similar to what existed in Lebanon and Gaza before October 7th.”< /p>
He added, "Hence, I warn the rebel leaders in Syria. Whoever follows Assad's path will meet the same fate, and Israel will not allow an extremist Islamic terrorist entity" to threaten its borders and citizens.
