Hezbollah acknowledges the loss of its supply routes in Syria

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said on Saturday that the party has lost its supply routes in Syria, expressing his hope that “the new rulers of Syria will see Israel as an enemy and will not normalize relations with it.”
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah added that "the group cannot judge the new rulers in Syria at the present time until the situation stabilizes," considering that "the Syrian regime fell at the hands of new forces and we cannot judge them except after taking clear positions." .
Qassem stressed, during a speech published by Lebanese media, that “the Syrian people have the right to choose their leadership and constitution,” expressing his belief that what is happening in Syria will not affect Lebanon.
The Secretary-General of the party commented on the developments in Syria, and considered that “the aggression against Syria (the attack by the armed opposition factions) is sponsored by America and Israel.”
Qassem pledged at the time to support Syria, saying: “We, as Hezbollah, will be alongside Syria in thwarting the goals of this aggression as much as we can.”
Israel's achievements in Lebanon
The Secretary-General of the Hezbollah group said that the party succeeded in preventing Israel from “eliminating and crushing the resistance” in Lebanon, but Israel achieved achievements in Lebanon, namely the assassination of Hezbollah leaders and the penetration of the party’s communications network.
Qassem indicated that Hezbollah will focus its work in the next stage on implementing the agreement, reconstruction, and working to elect a new president for the country, pointing out that the party has lost the military supply route through Syria, but it can search for other ways.
Earlier this month, the Secretary-General of "Hezbollah" said that "the party went through the most difficult stage since its inception," pointing out that "the enemy (Israel) wanted, through its brutal aggression, to crush the resistance and eliminate its presence, so it confronted it with a battle of mighty men." .
Qassem added, “There are three basic factors related to our victory in this battle, the first of which is the presence of the resistance fighters in the field and their steadfastness, the second is the blood of the martyrs, led by Sayyed (Hassan) Nasrallah, which gave impetus to continue, and the last is the restoration of resistance with intention.” The control that helped manage the battle of the bravest in a proportionate manner.”
