American strikes kill 12 ISIS militants in Syria

About 12 ISIS militants were killed in Syria, in air strikes carried out by American forces.
Agence France-Presse quoted the US Central Command on social media, saying that “raids were carried out against ISIS leaders, agents and camps, as part of the ongoing mission to disrupt, weaken and defeat the organization.”
She added that the goal is to prevent “the terrorist organization from carrying out external operations and to ensure that it does not seek opportunities to reconstitute itself in central Syria.”
The Central Command indicated that “these recent strikes targeted areas belonging to the former regime and Russia, to ensure continued pressure on the terrorist organization ISIS.”
Washington seeks to prevent the organization from exploiting the fall of President Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, following a lightning attack carried out by armed opposition factions led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
On that day, US forces struck more than 75 targets linked to ISIS in Syria, using different types of aircraft, including the B-52, F-15, and A-10.
The US Army has about 900 soldiers in Syria and 2,500 others in Iraq, as part of the international coalition to fight the terrorist organization ISIS
