Erdogan: Violating Syria's territorial integrity is a "red line" for Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned on Monday that any violation of Syria's territorial integrity would cross a red line for Turkey, stressing his country's firm position in this regard.
During his statements after the government meeting in the capital, Ankara, Erdogan said: “Syria’s territorial integrity must be protected, and this is a red line for Turkey, and we will never back down from this principle.”
He added that Türkiye “will not allow any threats that affect the sovereignty of Syrian lands.”
Erdogan explained that his country's firm position is to "protect the unity and territorial integrity of Syria in all circumstances."
He also stressed that the stability of Syria is considered essential for the stability of the entire region, saying: “Syrian stability is the source of stability and confidence for the entire region.”
The Turkish President stressed that Turkey will continue to support the Syrian people in consolidating their gains and achieving their future aspirations, pointing out that his country is holding close dialogues with the Commander-in-Chief of the new administration in Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, nicknamed “Abu Muhammad al-Julani,” within the framework of enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding. .
He indicated that Turkey categorically rejects the presence of any terrorist organization in the future of Syria, including ISIS and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, stressing that combating terrorism will remain Turkey’s priority in its policy towards Syria
