Russia admits shooting down the Azerbaijani plane

Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged, on Saturday, Moscow's responsibility for the downing of the Azerbaijani plane, according to what was reported by the Kremlin and reported by Russian media.
This came during the phone conversation between Putin and Ilham Aliyev, where it was noted that the Azerbaijani plane attempted to land in Grozny while Russian air defenses were responding to attacks by Ukrainian drones.
President Putin apologized to President Aliyev for the Azerbaijani plane accident in Russian airspace.
The Russian President informed his Azerbaijani counterpart that the Russian air defense was active during the landing of the ill-fated plane.
