The last major health facility in the northern Gaza Strip is out of service

The World Health Organization announced, on Saturday, that Kamal Adwan Hospital was “empty” following an Israeli military operation that put the last major health facility in the northern Gaza Strip out of service.
The World Health Organization explained, "Kamal Adwan Hospital is now empty. Yesterday evening, 15 patients in critical condition, 50 caregivers, and 20 health workers were transferred to the Indonesian hospital, which lacks the necessary equipment and supplies to provide adequate care."
The organization said that it was “appalled” by the Israeli operation, confirming that it had lost contact with the hospital director, Hossam Abu Safiya.
The Israeli army confirmed, on Saturday, the detention of Kamal Adwan Hospital director for questioning.
On Friday, the organization announced that the military operation launched by Israel on Friday against Hamas militants near Kamal Adwan Hospital led to the last major health facility in the northern Gaza Strip being out of service.
The Israeli army announced earlier on Friday that it had launched a military operation in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, indicating that it was targeting members of Hamas, while the movement’s Ministry of Health accused it of storming the medical facility.
