3 Israelis were killed by gunfire in the occupied West Bank... and Netanyahu threatens

Three Israelis were killed on Monday in a shooting in the village of Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya Governorate, north of the occupied West Bank, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to hold the perpetrators accountable “and those who helped them.”
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth quoted an Israeli security source as saying that two unidentified persons opened fire on two Israeli cars and a bus.
The Israeli Ambulance Authority (Magen David Adom) announced that the accident also resulted in the death of 3 people, the injury of another in serious condition, and 3 in moderate condition, in addition to two injuries whose condition was described as “simple.”
The newspaper reported that the perpetrators of the operation were able to escape while many Israeli security forces pursued them, and began combing the area and isolating it, noting that all roads and villages leading to Qalqilya, the town of Salfit, and the city of Tulkarm were closed.
An Israeli was injured on Thursday when unknown assailants threw stones at a bus near Karnei Shomron Square. A day earlier, an Israeli soldier was slightly injured in what the Israeli authorities described as a “run over operation” near the village of Deir Qadis in the region, and Israeli army soldiers opened fire on the car, killing its driver.
The Israeli army kills in the West Bank and Gaza
The Fatah movement and the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Israeli forces killed two Palestinians, one of them a 17-year-old boy, in the Askar camp in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, on Sunday.
Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces opened fire on the home of a 37-year-old man in the town south of Jenin in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Sunday that the toll from the Israeli war on the Palestinian Gaza Strip had risen to at least 45,805 deaths and 109,64 injuries since October 7, 2023.
The ministry added that the Israeli occupation forces killed 88 Palestinians and wounded 208 others during the past 24 hours.
Israeli threats
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences to the families of the Israeli victims, vowing to pursue the perpetrators of the attack and hold them accountable, “both them and those who helped them.”
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said: “Anyone who follows the path of Hamas in Gaza and sponsors the killing and harm of Jews will pay a heavy price. I have instructed the Israeli army to act forcefully against any place where the traces of the perpetrators might lead. We will not accept the reality of Gaza.” In the West Bank."
Yedioth Ahronoth quoted Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who lives in the area where the incident occurred, asking Netanyahu to hold an urgent meeting, Monday, to discuss what he called “eliminating terrorism” in the West Bank.
Smotrich attacked the Palestinian Authority, claiming that “everyone who trusts the Palestinian Authority to protect the security of Israel’s citizens wakes up in the morning when terrorists slaughter the Jewish population again.”
The Israeli minister called for the destruction of Palestinian towns and cities in the West Bank similar to what the Israeli army did in Gaza, saying: “The hotel, Nablus and Jenin should look like Jabalia (destroyed in the Gaza Strip).”
For his part, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir accused the Palestinian Authority of “supporting terrorism,” demanding that it stop all forms of cooperation with it, erect “the largest possible number of barriers,” and close roads, claiming that “the settlers’ right to life goes beyond freedom of movement.” Residents of the Palestinian Authority
