Today, Sunday, the Israeli army received 3 kidnapped Israeli women who were released by the Palestinian movement, as part of the first batch of the hostage agreement and ceasefire in Gaza.
The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that Israeli forces received the three hostages from the International Red Cross team.
The International Red Cross convoy transported the three kidnapped women to the “Netzarim” axis area before transporting them to the Kibbutz “Re’im” area, where the Minister of the Interior and the families of the kidnapped women were waiting for them
According to Hebrew sources, the three kidnapped women will undergo a preliminary medical examination and then be transported via helicopter to hospitals for comprehensive examinations
Avichai Adraee, a spokesman, said, “A special IDF unit and a Shin Bet force are escorting the three returned kidnapped women on their way to Israeli territory, where they will undergo an initial medical evaluation.”
He explained that “the three returned Israeli kidnapped women were transferred to a force from the IDF and the Shin Bet in the Gaza Strip.”
In a later blog post, Adraee said: “The returning female citizens crossed the border accompanied by a force from the IDF and the Shin Bet on their way to a military absorption point in the Gaza envelope area, where they will undergo an initial medical examination.”
Hamas had deployed dozens of its members in the "Al-Saraya Junction" area in the central Gaza Strip to make arrangements to hand over the three kidnapped women to the International Red Cross team
