A joint statement of Arab countries on Gaza ... and looking to work with Trump

A meeting of Arab foreign ministers was held in Cairo, at the invitation of Egypt, with the participation of Jordan, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in addition to the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on a number of major points to enhance peace efforts in the region.The participating parties welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the exchange of hostages and detainees, praising the efforts of Egypt and Qatar and the central role of the United States in the completion of this agreement, while emphasizing the aspiration to work with US President Donald Trump to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace in the Middle East according to a solution The two countries and evacuate the region from conflicts.
The statement issued by the meeting stressed the need to implement all the terms of the agreement, ensure calm and the continuation of humanitarian support to Gaza, while calling for the withdrawal of the Israeli forces and the enabling of the Palestinian Authority to return.
Also, the importance of UNRWA was also emphasized in providing aid, and rejected any attempts to reduce its role.
Participants stressed the need for the concerted international efforts to reconstruct Gaza as soon as possible, to ensure that the Palestinians remain on their lands.
In terms of guaranteeing the rights of the Palestinians, the parties emphasized the rejection of all forms of violations of the rights of the Palestinians, including settlement activities, expulsion and the demolition of homes, stressing that these actions threaten stability and undermine peace opportunities in the region.
The parties appealed to the participation of the international community, including the Security Council, to start implementing the two -state solution and addressing the roots of the conflict, with an invitation to participate in the international conference to be held at the presidency of Saudi Arabia and France in June 2025.
The parties welcomed Egypt's intention, in cooperation with the United Nations, to host an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza, calling on the international community to contribute to this effort.
