US President Donald Trump confirmed that the Palestinians will not have the right to return to Gaza under his plan to control the Strip.
Trump told the American "Fox News" when asked if the Palestinians will have to return, "no, they will not return as they will get much better housing."
The US President added: “In other words, I am talking about building a permanent place for them.”
Earlier on Sunday, Trump said he was committed to buying and possessing Gaza and may give parts of it to other countries in the Middle East to build it.
Trump added in statements to reporters on the presidential plane: "I will turn Gaza into a good site for future development."
He continued, saying: "I will take care of the Palestinians and I will make sure that they will not be killed."
He indicated that he will discuss "individual cases to allow Palestinian refugees to enter the United States of America."
Commenting on Trump's plan to displace the residents of Gaza, a member of the political bureau of Hamas, Musa Abu Marzouq, confirmed that "Trump has no American plan on the ground and his talk about the displacement of the Palestinians is just political balloons that the Arab countries and the international community announced their rejection."
He pointed out in an interview with "Sky News Arabia" that there is no tangible thing from a national consensus on the management of the Gaza Strip, stressing that "Egypt proposed the formation of a committee of national competencies to manage the sector and the authority has refused."
