The war in the Gaza Strip quickly entered the field of records. After more than a month, the number of Palestinian children killed in devastating raids rose to a record level.
“New levels of terror” in Gaza!
According to the latest statement of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, of the 11,320 people killed in the ongoing war, there are 4,650 children and 3,145 women, while the total number of wounded has risen to 29,200.
Moreover, the data states that 3,600 people, including 1,755 children, are still registered as missing.
The number of children killed in Gaza in the first four weeks of the war, and the total annual number of victims of armed conflicts in more than 22 countries since 2022, this is what is monitored by a report issued on November 9 by the United Nations Development Program and the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. ESCWA".
As for the destructive power of the bombs dropped on the Gaza Strip, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory records that the Israeli army dropped more than 25,000 tons of explosives, which is approximately equivalent to the power of two nuclear bombs of the type that the United States dropped on Hiroshima at the end of World War II.
Among the huge numbers recorded for the material losses resulting from the aerial, artillery and naval bombardment in the Strip, more than 40,000 housing units were destroyed, and more than 222,000 other housing units were damaged, which is described as representing at least 45 percent of the housing units in Gaza.
In addition, 279 schools were exposed to material damage as a result of the ongoing war, and the educational process was halted for 625,000 male and female students.
For medical institutions, the World Health Organization records approximately 102 attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza as of November 5.
As for economic expectations, they are naturally pessimistic, and all indicators point to an increase in poverty levels, which was recorded during the first month of the war by 20%, as well as a decline in the gross domestic product by large percentages, depending on how long the war will last.
In addition to all of this, the International Labor Organization reports that the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has caused the loss of 390,000 jobs in the Strip.
If the situation continues as it is in the Gaza Strip, perhaps the Israeli war on Gaza in 2023 will break all records, especially since the West is watching and no one is harassing Israel.
