The Russian Ministry of Justice has filed a lawsuit to recognize the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Movement (LGBT) as an extremist organization and ban it in Russia.
This came according to what was published on the ministry’s official website, where the statement stated: “Regarding the administrative demand of the Russian Ministry of Justice to recognize the international LGBT social movement as an extremist organization and ban its activities on Russian territory, the trial is scheduled to take place on November 30.”
The statement continued: “It is noticeable in the activities of the LGBT movement operating on Russian territory that various extremist signs and manifestations are identified, including incitement to social and religious hatred.”
