The Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, made a phone call to his Jordanian counterpart, Jaafar Hassan, in which he expressed Lebanon's full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the face of any plans targeting its security and stability.

Salam expressed during the call to Lebanon's readiness to fully cooperate with the Jordanian authorities, in light of the information that talked about receiving some of those involved in the plans, training within Lebanese territory.

Salam emphasized Lebanon's categorical refusal to be a starting point or headquarters for any activity that threatens the security of brotherly or friendly countries.

The Jordanian General Intelligence Department indicated that 16 elements involved in these plans, which included manufacturing missiles with local and other tools were imported from abroad, possessed explosive materials, firearms, and hidden a missile equipped for use.
