The first comment from Israel on the explosion of the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas

The first Israeli comment on the massive explosion that took place in the port of Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, on Saturday, from the Israeli army.

The explosion occurred in conjunction with the launch of a third round of nuclear talks between Iran and the United States in the Sultanate of Oman, while the cause of the explosion was not immediately clear.

Official television said, "The failure to deal with the flammable materials was a contributing factor" in the explosion.
The National Company for Refining and Distribution of Oil Derivatives issued a statement, in which it said that oil facilities were not affected by the explosion, and added: “The explosion and fire in the port of the martyr Rajai have no connection with refineries, fuel tanks, distribution complexes and oil pipelines associated with the company.”
Iranian media reported that the explosion caused windows to be destroyed several kilometers away, and footage was circulated on the Internet showing a smoke cloud that rises after the explosion.
Faris News Agency said that the explosion was heard on the island of Qeshm, 26 km south of Bandar Abbas.
