The Ministry indicated that "these appeals come from parties working outside the framework of the Syrian law, in a clear attempt to internationalize a situation that must be dealt with exclusively within the institutions of the Syrian state.
The statement said, "These actions represent a direct threat to the unity of the country, and the national efforts aimed at restoring security and stability throughout the country."
He emphasized the commitment of Syria, "The firm to protect all components of the Syrian people without exception, including the people of the generous Druze community, which was and still is an original part of the Syrian national fabric."
The Ministry expressed its "great appreciation for the wise role and the official undertaken by a number of sheikhs and the wise of the Druze community in extinguishing the fire of strife and preserving the civil peace."
Syria renewed its full assertion that "all national issues are dealt with through national mechanisms alone, and categorically rejects any external dictates or interventions, so the sovereignty of Syria is not a subject of discussion or negotiation."
During the past few days, clashes erupted between gunmen linked to the authorities and others from the Druze minority in Jaramana, Damascus, before extending to Sahnaya and its supervision in the countryside of the southern capital.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Syrian authorities announced their control of Ashrafieh Sahnaya, and that they are chasing the outlaws in it.
Israel warned the Syrian authorities, led by the transitional president, Ahmed Al -Shara, against prejudice to the Druze on the impact of the clashes.
The Syrian official media confirmed, on Wednesday, that Israel launched air strikes near the town of Sahnaya, where clashes take place, after the Israeli army announced that the Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir ordered his forces to prepare to strike targets of the Syrian government if the violence continues against the Druze.
