Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was fed up with the leaking of information to the press from members of his government, which prompted him to adopt a disclosure test against ministers, according to local media.
The issue has surfaced in recent days, after the newspaper "Israel Hayom", which is close to Netanyahu, reported on November 17 that he was "angry" about the leak of information from the meetings of the current war government to the press.
Therefore, he decided to approve a polygraph test that members of the government will be subjected to, according to “Israel Hayom.”
The newspaper said that Netanyahu ordered the acceleration of the adoption of a new law regarding testing, according to what it quoted sources familiar with the issue.
If approved, the legislation would allow ministers to be investigated and subjected to a polygraph test.
According to the newspaper, it will take several weeks for the test to be approved by the Knesset (Parliament).
After the law is passed, the Israeli Prime Minister intends to immediately begin implementing it.
