After India and Pakistan .. Egypt calls on the United States to solve the Gaza crisis

Egypt expressed today, Saturday, its warm welcome to announce the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, after the success of American mediation in reducing the escalation between the two neighboring countries.
In an official statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that this development represents a pivotal step towards achieving the desired calm, in a way that enhances security and stability in the South Asian region, and supports the aspirations of the Indian and Pakistani peoples towards peace and development.
Egypt praised the American efforts that resulted in this agreement, expressing its hope that the two parties will abide by the conditions of the ceasefire, which contributes to building mutual trust and opens horizons for constructive dialogue.
Egypt renewed its commitment to support the peaceful solutions to international crises, stressing that dialogue and negotiations are the only way to settle disputes, whether in South Asia or in other regions such as the Middle East.
In a related context, Egypt called on the United States to intensify its efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and strengthening regional and international regional peace and security.
The statement stressed that the success of mediation in the Indian-Pakistani crisis enhances the importance of the international role in resolving conflicts, which Egypt hopes to be reflected in calm efforts in the Arab region.
Relations between India and Pakistan witnessed a dangerous escalation in May 2025, which is the most violent in two decades, after a series of events that started with a terrorist attack in Kashmir, followed by missile strikes, the shooting down of planes and enlightenings of both sides, and intense border clashes.
