Netanyahu announces the assassination of Hamas leader in Gaza, Muhammad Al -Sinwar

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that the Israeli army assassinated the commander of Hamas in Gaza, Muhammad al -Sinwar.
At the plenary session of the Knesset, Netanyahu said, “Within 600 days ... we have already changed the face of the Middle East. ... We took the terrorists out of our land, and by force we entered the Gaza Strip and spent tens of thousands of terrorists, and we spent ... Muhammad Al -Sinwar.”
Israeli media reported that Al -Sinwar was targeted by an Israeli air raid on May 13 in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
On that date, the Israeli army said it had carried out a blow targeting Hamas fighters "at a command and control center ... under the ground under the European Hospital in Khan Yunis.
Muhammad Al -Sinwar is the younger brother of Sinwar, whom Israel accuses of planning the October 7, 2023 attack that ignited the war in Gaza.
Yahya Al -Sinwar was killed in the southern Gaza Strip in October 2024.
