Egyptian voters began arriving at polling stations on Sunday to cast their votes in the presidential elections.
Sisi (68 years old) is competing with the candidate of the Wafd Party, the oldest liberal party in Egypt, Abdel-Sanad Yamama (71 years old), the candidate of the Egyptian Democratic Party Farid Zahran (66 years old), and the candidate of the Republican People’s Party Hazem Omar (59 years old).
About 67 million citizens who have reached the age of eighteen, out of a total population of 104 million people, have the right to vote in the elections, which are supervised by more than twenty thousand judges.
The National Elections Authority announced that representatives of international and local organizations and some foreign embassies in Egypt will monitor the conduct of the elections.
