Sudanese army commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan rejected an agreement signed between the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and political groups, and pledged to continue the war that has been going on for 9 months, in a speech he delivered to the forces, on Friday.
Al-Burhan said, during his speech, “The commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), insults the Sudanese people, and there are people who applaud them.”
He added: “We regret that some politicians are applauding and laughing at Hemedti... The agreement of some politicians with Rapid Support is unacceptable.”
Al-Burhan welcomed the presence of the Sudanese popular resistance, explaining: “We welcome the popular resistance and we will arm them, but this weapon must be legalized and registered, but now any area is threatened, there is no objection to supporting it with weapons.”
The Sudanese army commander continued: “Our battle continues. The battle to recover every site in Sudan.”
