After a suspicious silence for more than a week after the outbreak of the crisis between Somalia and Ethiopia, the Djiboutian government issued a broad statement in which it stated its deep support for protecting the territorial sovereignty of IGAD member states, in accordance with the regulations and laws of IGAD and the African Union.
This statement comes very late after Ethiopia violated the territorial sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia after signing an illegal agreement with the Somaliland administration regarding a sea port.
