Hamas said today (Thursday) that it will adhere to a ceasefire if the International Court of Justice issues a decision to do so in the lawsuit filed by South Africa, and Israel implements it.
According to the Arab World News Agency, the movement stated in a statement that it would release the Israeli prisoners detained in the Gaza Strip if Israel released the Palestinian prisoners detained in it.
The statement stressed that the Israeli side must “end its 18-year-long siege of Gaza and enter all necessary aid for population relief and reconstruction.”
The International Court of Justice announced yesterday (Wednesday) that it will issue, tomorrow, Friday, a decision regarding the request submitted by South Africa to take urgent temporary measures in the “genocide” lawsuit it filed against Israel related to the war in the Gaza Strip, charges that Israel rejected.< /p>
