The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan, in addition to the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh, met in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to discuss developments in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. They stressed “the necessity of ending the war on the Gaza Strip,” and “the importance of Take irreversible steps to implement the two-state solution and recognize the State of Palestine along the lines of June 4, 1967.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the ministers stressed during the consultative meeting “the necessity of ending the war on the Gaza Strip, reaching an immediate and complete ceasefire, ensuring the protection of civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law, and lifting all restrictions that obstruct the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.”
The ministers expressed their support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), urging all its supporters to play their role in supporting humanitarian missions towards Palestinian refugees.
