In a statement by an American official to Sky News Arabia, he revealed that the White House had received notification from the Israeli government that it was about to launch a major military operation in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. Information indicates that there is pressure on Egypt to open the borders to the Palestinians.

The American official, who preferred to remain anonymous, explained that the Israeli government informed the White House administration of the details of the planned military operation in Rafah, which aims to evacuate the city of residents and carry out an attack that ensures the security of the border with Egypt.

Sources say that “many parties in Washington support the Israeli control plan for Rafah, given the guarantees it contains to eliminate the Hamas movement and dismantle the popular network connected to the Egyptian interior.”

On the other hand, the Palestinian presidency strongly condemned the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the evacuation of the city of Rafah and the start of a military operation there, considering this a real threat and a dangerous prelude to implementing the rejected Israeli policy of displacing the Palestinian people from their land.

The Palestinian presidency confirmed that the Israeli government bears full responsibility for the repercussions of those plans, calling on the American administration to bear its responsibility, and stressing the danger of this destructive policy pursued by Israel.
