The Hebrew newspaper Calcalist reported that 141 technology companies in Israel have laid off 34,300 workers since the beginning of the year.
The newspaper said, “Since the beginning of the year, 141 technology companies have laid off 34,300 employees, even though most of them showed excellent financial performance.”
The newspaper added: “The technology giant Cisco announced the layoff of thousands of its workers in Israel.”
She pointed out that Moody's also reduced the credit level to Israel yesterday to reflect successive blows to the economy, while opposition leader Yair Lapid blamed Netanyahu's government for failure in all sectors, especially the economic ones.
