Israeli media announced that the Israeli army had obtained a video showing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in one of the tunnels of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.
She said, “The army obtained a minute-long videotape of materials it obtained from Hamas devices, and the video shows Al-Sanwar in one of the tunnels of Khan Yunis, accompanied by his wife and two or three children, with another person leading them.”
She added that Al-Sinwar is in good health and walks on his feet, dragging his bag and wearing Adidas shoes.
Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy warned earlier against talking about military operations and the activities of the Israeli army in the media, threatening Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif to “eliminate them.”
Herzi Halevy said during the government session that “Hamas leaders Muhammad Deif and Yahya Sinwar no longer influence the fighting at all,” stressing that “despite this fact, we must eliminate them.”
The New York Times also reported that US intelligence officials, who previously briefed members of Congress, said that the Israeli army had eroded Hamas’ combat capabilities, but was not close to destroying it.
