An Amiri decree was issued in Kuwait to dissolve the country’s National Assembly due to “violating constitutional constants” in showing the necessary respect for the “Supreme Majesty,” according to what the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Thursday.
The agency announced the issuance of “The Emiri Decree to dissolve the National Assembly was issued in accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution.”
The Amiri decree stipulates that the dissolution of Parliament comes based on “the National Assembly’s transgression of constitutional principles in demonstrating due respect for the Supreme Council and the deliberate use of offensive and uncontrolled expressions.”
