In a visit that comes four days after the martyrdom of two naval soldiers, the Saudi Foreign Minister arrived in the capital, Manama.
The Bahrain News Agency said that Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud arrived in Manama today.
Upon his arrival at Bahrain International Airport, he was received by his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit comes days after the martyrdom of two Bahraini soldiers and the injury of others, last Monday, as a result of a Houthi attack with Houthi marches on the southern Saudi border.
A terrorist attack that received widespread Arab and international condemnation.
The UAE expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain over the martyrdom and wounding of a number of its defense force, within the Arab coalition forces participating in Operations Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the attack represents a disregard for all international laws and norms, which requires a deterrent response.
The Ministry urged the international community to unite efforts and take a decisive stance to stop these operations and return to a political process that leads to achieving peace, security and stability in Yemen and the region.
For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement “the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation of the treacherous attack against the defense force of the sister Kingdom of Bahrain.”
The Kingdom affirmed its full support and solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, and renewed its position calling for stopping the continued flow of weapons to the terrorist Houthi militias, preventing their export into Yemen, and ensuring that they do not violate United Nations resolutions.
