The Israeli army announced today, Wednesday, the killing of a soldier in its ranks in the Gaza battles, revealing a new death toll since October 7 (Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood) and during its ground incursion into Gaza.
The Israeli army said that the killed soldier was Sergeant David Sasson (21 years old), a fighter in the trained dog unit of the Mountain Brigade, who fell in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
It was noted that in the same battle, 13 soldiers were injured, including 6 seriously injured.
In an update to its data on its official website this evening, Wednesday, the Israeli army announced the killing of 587 soldiers in its ranks since October 7, both officers and soldiers.
The war in Gaza continues for its 152nd day, leaving more than 30,000 dead, at a time when the Israeli-Lebanese border is witnessing intense confrontations between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, while several Palestinian factions are engaged in clashes with the Israeli army on several fronts in the Gaza Strip.
