The United States of America abstained from voting, despite disrupting the previous session held last Friday to decide on a ceasefire by using its veto.
For his part, US Secretary of State Blinken said that the Security Council resolution on Gaza confirms the United States’ position that a ceasefire for any duration comes as part of the comprehensive peace agreement.
