The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Tuesday, that the death toll as a result of the Israeli military operation has risen to 32,414 dead and 74,787 wounded, since October 7, 2023.
The Ministry said in a statement, on the 172nd day of the war on Gaza, that Israeli forces committed 8 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, “and 81 martyrs and 93 injuries reached hospitals” during the past 24 hours until Tuesday morning.
Palestinian Health indicated that a number of victims are still under rubble or on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
In the latest news report, Reuters reported that Israeli air strikes killed dozens of Palestinians on both sides of the Gaza Strip last night, targeting the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in the north and the city of Rafah in the south, where more than a million people are crowded to seek shelter.
In the north, where fierce fighting has been raging for more than a week around the Shifa Hospital, members of the Abu Hasira family told Reuters that dozens were killed in a strike that destroyed a family gathering near the largest hospital in Gaza.
A family member called Abu Ali Abu Hasira said in a text message to Reuters, “A new massacre against the family of Abu Suhail Abu Hasira and his sons and grandchildren, who number about 30 people.”
In the south, where more than half of Gaza's 2.3 million people reside in Rafah, across from the border fence with Egypt, health authorities said that 18 people, including eight children, were killed in a raid on the Abu Nuqira family home.
