The Israeli Ministry of Justice announced that it had been subjected to a large-scale cyber attack, while a hacking group claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Ministry stated that the competent authorities are working to determine the extent of the damage resulting from the attack.
She explained that the digital services were not damaged, while the examination will continue for a few days.
The Ministry of Justice stated, "The Ministry prepared in advance for this type of scenario and the matter was immediately reported to the relevant authorities. The scope of the materials is still under study and it will take some time to examine the content and scope of the matter... and the leaked materials and their source."
A group calling itself “Anonymous for Justice” claimed responsibility for the hack.
She said in a video statement: “We have hacked and wiped all the servers of the Ministry of Justice of the Zionist regime in several operations. We have penetrated an amazing amount of approximately 300 gigabytes of data, including letters, official documents, employees, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail.” .
Israeli media were quick to say that the group that carried out the attack belonged to Iran.
