The Israeli army announced on Sunday evening that 3 Israeli soldiers were killed in a bombing that targeted a military base near Kerem Shalom.
The Hebrew radio reported that the soldiers killed in the bombing were Sergeant Reuven Assouline, Sergeant Ido Testa, and Sergeant Tal Shavit.
Earlier, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, claimed responsibility for bombing the Karam Shalom military site with a missile salvo.
Al-Qassam showed a video clip showing intense “Rajum” rocket barrages at the “Karam Shalom” military site east of the city of Rafah.
The Israeli media described the attack as dangerous, as the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said: “The event in Kerem Shalom is unusual after months of violent fighting in the Gaza Strip, and helicopters and planes were called to the area of the incident to evacuate the injured.”
A video clip was circulated documenting Israeli helicopters transporting wounded soldiers after the “Al-Qassam Brigades” bombed the Kerem Shalom site near the Gaza Strip.
