A drone attack last Thursday targeted the Military College in Homs immediately after the conclusion of an officers’ graduation ceremony, according to what the Syrian army announced, resulting in the death of more than 110 people and the injury of about 184 people, according to a new tally by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The “Military College” is located in Homs in the area adjacent to the Al-Waer neighborhood, and it has not been subjected to any military operations or attacks since the peaceful movement turned into armed after 2011.
Nearby are other military barracks belonging to the regime, including the College of Armored Vehicles, the College of Technical Affairs and Military Works, and the Military Hospital, within the framework of what is known locally within the city as the “Gathering of Military Colleges.”
