The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Jihad movement, broadcast a video on Tuesday showing an Israeli prisoner alive in the Gaza Strip.
The prisoner, Alexander Trupanov (28 years old), was seen speaking in a video clip lasting no more than 30 seconds. The date the clip was filmed is not clear.
The title "Witness...the government does not want to pay the price" appeared at the beginning of the video clip, after which the prisoner appeared speaking in Hebrew.
The prisoner said, “My name is Alexander Trupanov... to Israel and all the demonstrators, in the coming days you will hear the truth from me regarding what happened to me and to all the prisoners in Gaza.”
He continued, “I ask you to wait more patiently.”
He holds Russian and Israeli citizenship
Trubanov holds dual Russian and Israeli citizenship, and was arrested on October 7 in the Gaza Strip settlements with his mother, grandmother, and girlfriend.
The three women were released during a truce between Hamas and Israel at the end of November, which saw the release of 105 hostages.
While his father, Vitaly Trupanov (50 years old), was killed in the attack on the night of October 7th.
The Forum for Families of Hostages and Missing Persons said that this video is “further evidence that the Israeli government must give a clear mandate to the negotiating team, which could lead to an agreement to return all hostages.”
In turn, the mother of the Israeli prisoner demanded that everything be done to return Abha and all the detainees immediately.
Commenting on the video, the Israeli opposition leader said that the evidence regarding the presence of prisoner Alexander alive reminds us that time is running out and an agreement must be reached.

It is noteworthy that on October 7, Hamas and Palestinian factions carried out a surprise attack on the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip, which led to the death of 1,170 Israelis, according to an Agence France-Presse count based on official Israeli data.
During the attack, 252 people were detained and transferred to Gaza. After a truce in November allowed the release of about a hundred of them, 121 remain prisoners in the Gaza Strip, including 37 who were killed, according to the Israeli army.
In response to the Hamas attack, Israel launched a devastating bombing campaign on the Gaza Strip, accompanied by ground operations, killing at least 36,096 people, most of them civilians, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
