Strategic Communications Coordinator at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, said President Joe Biden does not want to be responsible for starting World War III through Washington's support for Kiev.
Kirby explained, in an interview with ABC on Sunday, commenting on the matter, saying: “We have been concerned about the escalation since the beginning of the war and the Ukrainian conflict, and the concern still exists.”
He added: “The president says he does not want to be responsible for starting World War III, through Washington’s support for Kiev in the Ukrainian conflict.”
Kirby noted that “the United States does not seek conflict with Russia or any other nuclear power.”
Sources revealed to Politico newspaper earlier how US President Joe Biden made his decision to allow Ukrainian forces to use American weapons against targets inside Russian territory.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed, while speaking about Western proposals about allowing Kiev to launch strikes on Russian territory, that NATO countries must understand what they are playing with.
Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security in Europe, Maxim Boyakevich, also explained that Russia will respond appropriately to all threats.
